Every person on our team is a very important person to us. Our people are the foundation of the firm, and upon them we build relationships, knowledge, advice and success. Come and meet our real people.
Pasquale (Pat) Settineri
Founding PartnerHow to properly introduce our founder, our benevolent patriarch, Pasquale Settineri? Well, firstly by emphasising that you should address him as Pat. He’s a calm and measured leader, always up for a laugh and a good time, and the Dad jokes commence just as early in the day as the hard work.
Pat started Butler Settineri in 1987 with now retired partner Colin Butler and we’ve enjoyed steady growth through a few different premises in vibrant Subiaco ever since then. Pat is a Fellow of the CA ANZ (FCA), and a Registered Tax Agent. These days, as Managing Partner, he specialises in a Business Advisory role, offering personalised service to our high net worth clients and carefully nurturing the relationships which are the basis of our firm’s ongoing success.
Pat grew up in the wheatbelt and came to Perth to board at Aquinas, where he was known for his long sleeved footy jumper and distinctive flowing mullet (back in fashion now, if only he still could!). He takes pride in the achievements of his son David, another CA, and daughter Melissa, a lawyer, and knows that none of this would have been possible without the love and support of wife Darlene, supreme domestic engineer and their rock of Gibraltar. When time allows he can be found tending to his vines in the garden and enjoying some quality tunes with dog Archie.
If you get to know him, you might like to join his family in teasing him about his rather limited swimming ability (wheatbelt childhood to blame here). Just don’t forget that he’s also highly skilled in karate!
Pat is always keen to help, get in touch with him at pas@butlersettineri.com.au

Scott Edwards
PartnerGifted accountant and 1980s music aficionado (though thankfully he doesn’t wear ruffled shirts to work) Scott joined Butler Settineri in 2016, fresh from a 14 year period as partner at a mid-tier Western Australian financial services firm. In July 2018 Scott was admitted to the Butler Settineri Partnership.
Scott is always on the go - he needs to be - as a happily married man to Tammy and father of three active teenage kids (“and definitely no more!”) he’s got the whole multi-tasking thing down pat. He’s as adept at managing sports days, looking after a budding actress and moderating sibling rivalries, as he is at cracking the most complex of accounting conundrums.
Although his football glory days may have gone the way of his hair, Scott is still committed to keeping his mind and body healthy by regularly surfing at some of WA’s best breaks.
As a medical practice specialist, qualified CA and certified financial planner, with a career spanning almost three decades in boutique and mid-tier firms, and a drive to deliver more for our clients, Scott is right at home in our dynamic and multi-skilled team.

Ally Gleeson
ManagerAlly’s career has seen her take a cold-climate island hopping route to Perth, with undergraduate study and employment in NZ continued in Tassie. She came to us as a senior accountant in 2015, was promoted to supervisor in 2020 and to manager in 2022.
Her role includes management of our ATO lodgement list and applications for extensions, as well as trustee resolutions and FBT compliance. She also manages and assists with training and development of graduates. We may tease her for being short, and a Kiwi, but really we treasure her for the dynamic and friendly presence she brings to Butler Settineri.
Ally seems to have brought the cold of the lower latitudes with her to Perth and can often be found wearing boots and thermals at work or curling up under a blanket watching movies with the family. She and husband Andy enjoy camping, road tripping and seeing more of WA now that their two kids are old enough for easy travel. With lots of warm gear packed for Mum, obviously.
Ally can be contacted via email agleeson@butlersettineri.com.au
Nigel Pereira
ManagerNigel joined the team in 2019 and has been making his way up the ranks of Butler Settineri as a qualified Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) and was promoted to Supervisor in July 2022 and Manager in 2024. He failed to mention in his interview that he has a bigger wardrobe than his wife Rebecca and speaks three different languages. He got the job anyway.
His passion is clear – providing quality service to a wide variety of clients across many industry sectors with a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence. Previously specialising in the arts and farming industries, Nigel is well-versed in bookkeeping, taxation, accounting and auditing to find you the best business solutions possible. The firm’s values shine forward in everything Nigel does, and efficiency is his middle name (as well as Savio).
Nigel holds a Master of Professional Accounting, Post Graduate Certificate in Business Administration, and a Bachelor in Economics in his capable hands with over ten years of experience in public practice.
On the weekends you’ll find him shopping, trying new food recipes and barracking for The Red Devils (he’s a Manchester United fan) in the nail-biting Premier League. He’s also got a knack for table tennis, piano, and making people laugh.
